Oh, lookie, lookie, what I got for Valentine's Day! TJ is taking me to Memphis, Tennessee to see Billy Joel up close [notice the ticket says 'lower level']. YIPEE!!! I have seen him a couple times before and of all the concerts I've ever attended he is my favorite performer. I suppose that's because I tried diligently to master piano playing and I'm in awe watching him do it so seemingly effortlessly. We also share the same birthday which I think is rather neat too.

And after the concert, TJ has booked us The Peabody Touch of Romance package for the night. I've heard that sometimes Billy Joel plays at the piano bar there after the concert... or maybe he'll play with the street muscicians on Beale Street? Oh, well, either way, the concert will be great and the hotel will be a marvelous way to top off the whole evening.

Do you wonder why there is only ONE ticket? It's a funny story, so I'll tell you. When I met TJ, 15 years ago, there was a Broadway play showing that I expressed an interest in wanting to see. We met April 7th, my birthday is May 9th, and we had dated for less than a month. He surprised me with TWO very pricey tickets to see the play as my birthday gift. Now, he's a bit shy, very manly and very much a gentleman... quite unlike my tendancies to be a rebel, a tease and extremely quick witted. When I opened them I squealed in delight and with my hands clutched tightly around them I told him how excited I was and I sure hoped I could find someone who would enjoy the play as much as I would to go with me... and then mentioned my sister's name. He was a bit taken aback and wasn't sure how to tell me that *he* had intended to be my date for the evening. He decided then and there that I only get one ticket and he keeps the other one for himself. {g} It's turned out to be a rather fun joke between us, but he didn't think it was so funny at the time wondering if I was serious.

It's rather hard to top BJ tickets and a romanctic hotel package, but I did get the other niceties like flowers, candy and a gift set of great bath stuff with a promise of another one of those romantic baths he likes to give me. Ooooo, la, la .... take me away Honey! Ahhhhhhhh...

I am one truly spoiled lady... whadda great romantic! The ladies at my office want him to hold seminars to train their hubbies. {g}
